Certified Attack Resistant Doors – An In Depth Look

Ceco Door & ASSA ABLOYCeco Door offers a packaged Attack Resistant System that has been tested by ASSA ABLOY and certifies that it will withstand a 4-minute attack per 5-aa10 test standards.

During the test, the door and hardware were shot 60 times with an AK-47 assault rifle.  The system also withstood a 4-minute physical attack.

Part One of the Test: Ballistic Attack

Attack Phase:  The glass, door and hardware are shot a total of 60 times in an attempt to weaken the opening and allow entry.

Result:  Although the opening is not bullet resistant, the proprietary attack resistant glass does not shatter which inhibits the intruder from accessing the building.  The door remains latched.
